My hostel is a retreat space for creatives to share their work, learn from one another, and better their craft. The hostel houses three main spaces for this activity to occur -- a gallery, lecture hall, and private work rooms. The spaces are informed by specific materials, shape, scale, and connection with one another; this helps all of the disciplines gain outside experience and inspiration they can use in their work.

The spaces are intertwined because they are suitable for each occupant (the poet, the musician, and the mathematician). Each discipline would benefit from the range of gathering/collecting spaces to more private reflection work spaces. As the occupants move through the composition, they interact with one another and use that interaction in their work. There is no designated space for each discipline. While these careers typically output work as individuals, they are often inspired by outside experiences and individuals, such as behind a poem, song, or math theory.

As a composition, it is about the occupants creating their own journey within the destination. It is a different experience for each occupant. The destination is only the first step in the gained exposure and insight one gets from experiencing the hostel.
